While my folks and some friends were picking out a Christmas tree, me and the other kids at the plantation were playing tag. One of the other kids was it and he was chasing my brother Phil and I. Phil grabbed a branch in front of him and hussled forward, but it flew back and hit me in the face. Lashed back, hit me in the face. I'm cut up bleeding, running in the cold back to where the folks are. They all start yelling and wondering what's going on. It really didn't hurt. I just didn't want to see the adults reaction at the incident in the snow. So, I never got stitches. We found a nice tree and sang some yuletide carols. Now it is just a pink line on my face. GRRRÉ.
