1. I was nicknamed "Mandy" for the first time, by my third grade teacher Mrs. Ayres.
2. Grandma woke us up on May 11th at 6:30am to tell us we had a new baby brother.
3. I took 3rd place in a school spelling bee after misspelling "rabbit," and never recovered.
4. I had to apologize to the school and the parents of Michael Rock for drawing naked pictures on his manilla-paper birthday card.
5. This is the first year I can recall with certainty my birthday wish, and I've made the same one every year since.
