1. Met Lori Ball, my best friend in kindergarten, when she cried on the first day of school.
2. Was bitten by my younger sister it drew blood but I remember laughing.
3. Licked the face of Dim, my babysitter in Fort Worth, Texas.
4. Watched lightning strike a giant tree in my backyard, which was felled.
5. Had a small, red, plastic ball that hovered just a few feet above the ground (this is clearly not true, but it s one of the clearest things I remember from those times.)
