1. My son was born in my presence in Oakland, California at 6:30 AM on March 20.
2. I attended a July 4th celebration with my mother-in-law and father-in-law in Lone Rock, Wisconsin. It was just the three of us, because I was away from my home at the time in El Cerrito, California on a business trip and none of my three children and partner came along. I drove my in-law's car to the celebration and back. On the return trip, along the 30 miles of narrow, curvy roads through the beautiful, wooded hills and valleys that still separate Lone Rock from their farm near Cazenovia, Wisconsin, I accidentally hit and probably killed a deer. Fortunately the car was barely damaged and none of the three of us was hurt. I wasn't speeding, but both my father-in-law and I had drunk a lot of beer at the celebration.
3. My family, two daughters, son, partner and I, moved from El Cerrito, California for a new home and happier life in Park Ridge, Illinois.
4. My older daughter started kindergarten.
5. Unfortunately Ronald Reagan was reelected US President.
