Susanne: Hello?
Peace Corps: Hello Susanne. This is Bob from the Peace Corps. I'm calling to talk to you about the rejection letter we sent you.
Susanne: OK, Bob.
Peace Corps:Do you understand why we rejected you?
Susanne:Yes, Bob, I do. I worked for the CIA as a "summer-only intern" over 30 years ago when I was an idiot teenager desperate for a summer job, and because of that I can't join.
Peace Corps:That's right. It's our policy that anyone who has worked for the CIA is not eligible.
Susanne:I know Bob. They told us that during orientation in 1972, but I thought maybe after all these years it wouldn't make a difference. Why are you calling?
Peace Corps:Because we've decided to make our one and only exception for you Susanne!
Susanne:Thank you, Bob! When do I start?
