March 25, 2007
Suburban home 20 minutes north of Seattle, WA.
Arose without alarm at 8:34 Sunday morning. Could not decide whether to first brush teeth or turn on computer. Stood in hallway for moment before opting to turn heat up to 70, slip into bathrobe, and then proceed to brushing teeth.
Had been dreaming about Collin Firth having watched "Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason" on TBS the night before. In the dream the actor was kind and stoic just as he was on television. Had a moment of wondering, "Is he like that in person-not at some big movie premier, but at home, with a cup of tea and pleasant music on in the background?"
Made coffee while computer booted up. Ground fresh coffee to a very fine powder, then mixed with courser grounds, ground haphazardly the previously day, resulting in a noticeably better cup of coffee this morning.
Opened myspace.com to email a friend, who there was no other way to contact without racking up long distance charges, about planning a poker night. Myspace was down for repairs. Proceeded to the local headlines in Seattle Times. Read stories on New York City Police Department overstepping boundaries to investigate (spy) on liberal activists during the most recent RNC convention, a local Urban League meeting to foster an environment of community to result in increased professional and personal success and happiness, and report of Iraq War being irrelevant to the average American due to fiscal factors being perceived to be relatively stable and many middleclass person's not knowing firsthand a solder involved in the war.
Finished cup of coffee while considering shower or simply to just was hair.
