To imagine an alternative form of government is almost impossible for me. I have been so programmed into naturalizing the merger of capitalism and democracy that I cannot imagine many ways out of it. Ok, here goes: everyone takes responsibility for things like clean water and clean air. There is a sudden total switch to solar energy and bicycles. But that really isn't a government; that's a new environmental policy. Why is this so hard? Why can't I do this? Ok: a new try: representative democracy but socialist economy, and everyone votes, and everyone is literate.
