AGITATED FELINES COME TO BLOWS
Two neighborhood felines local to the crest of Capitol Hill in Seattle were involved in an altercation early on Thursday at approximately 1:30 A.M. The first cat, a medium-sized calico, was going about its business prowling up and down 18th Avenue in search of a late night meal. Suddenly without warning a second feline, a hairy Persian beast, burst forth from the porch of a nearby apartment and attacked the unsuspecting calico. The two became entangled in a flurry of claws and fur. Both began to emit high-pitched screaming sounds which awakened an estimated 44 percent of the neighboring residents. It soon became clear the calico was no match for the Persian. He quickly disengaged from combat, and the larger animal gave chase. They were last seen scampering West on Thomas St. toward the Group Health Medical Center. The cats' owners could not be reached for comment, and it is believed that at least one of them is a stray.
